Citas a Ciegas

Church Fundraisers Are The Oldest Type Of Fundraising Events

Church fundraisers have been around for ages and are known for being community and family get togethers. At one time they were called garden parties and were held during the summer months. At the church fundraisers, there were games of fun for the children, food to buy and crafts for sale. There was usually a supper and a dance to celebrate the success of the fundraising event.

Schools and churches have band fundraisers because the purchase of band equipment is very expensive. Even if you want to purchase used band equipment, church fundraisers will be able to come up with the funds needed for different instruments. At an event where churches or schools need to raise money for the band, the patrons are almost always treated to a concert.

Church fundraisers often consist of adult concerts where the adults of the community show off their talents and show how they can act silly and childish. In small communities, when a concert is a successful band fundraiser, people from another community often invite the performers to put off the concert in another town to help them with their fundraising.

A common church fundraiser is a hymn sing held in the church. With this type of event, people make a donation to have their favorite hymn sung by the congregation or the choir in memory of a loved one. This also helps as a band fundraiser because the people see where the band needs new equipment just by listening to them play.

Bands perform on a regular basis in parades and town festivities. In order to do well in competitions they need to have the best of equipment and therefore band fundraisers help to provide the much needed funds, not only for equipment but often for travel. Church fundraisers help local bands in many ways because they often give donations to various bands. The next time there is a church fundraiser in your town, you might be surprised at the amount of fun you have when you attend.

Church fundraisers can be a lot of fun.

Choosing the Right Forex Software For You

You might be looking for a charting platform, or a trading platform. You could also be looking for an automated trading program, or a signal service. You are most probably looking for some form of assistance to help with your trading. This is really the holy grail for a lot of traders who do not have the time or the inclination to sit in front of a computer 16 hours a day. I have done that for a couple of years and done my 'chart-time', now its time to let the computer take care of it for me.

The best charting and trading platform is MT4, this allows you to also create custom indicators and expert advisors allowing you to auto-trade your account. Some people have created truly excellent Expert Advisors, and its like having your own forex trading guru sat at your computer 24/6, never getting tired, grumpy, hungry or anything else for that matter.

Provide a stable internet connection and power, and the EA will handle everything else for you. The problem is selecting the correct one, as there are so many out there.

Some criteria you should apply, when judging an EA are;

- Whether they will give you a free trial
- Their FORWARD tested history as well as their backtested history
- What modelling quality their backtests are run on (90% is the best available)
- Whether they offer a money back guarantee should the EA fail to perform for you

Markets change, and so do the performances of EA's. The goal is really to find one that can perform consistently over different market conditions. The best we have seen yet in the market is the PointBreak EA. This was used by a private trading group by over a year before being recently released to the public.

PointBreak Expert Advisor (Very Aggressive Trading) has resulted 49.76% since October 2007.

This is the most aggressive setting available, the more conservative settings give smaller returns but correspondingly smaller drawdowns.

Choosing A Mover For The Smoothest Move

You’ve landed that new job in another city, you’re retiring out-of-state, your family’s growing and it’s time to upgrade. All these are great signs that life is going well. Keep it going well by choosing the right mover to get you where you’re going.

Tips on choosing a mover

-- Choose the kind of mover you need, such as a relocation service, interstate moving company, local mover, pack-and-stack service, household shipper or trucking service.

-- Ask your friends or neighbors who have moved recently for recommendations. A word-of-mouth referral is the best way to be assured the movers will do a good job.

-- Ask prospective movers for references, and call them to see how satisfied their customers are.

-- Get written estimates from at least three movers before deciding.

-- To minimize the hourly charges for a short move, try to do as much of the work yourself as possible.

-- Consider whether or not you would like the mover to pack and what other additional services you may require.

-- Know the difference between binding and non-binding estimates. With a binding estimate you know in advance what your move will cost. However, it also means you can't add anything extra that you might have left off during the estimate. With a more open-ended non-binding estimate, there is no limit on what you can ship. Final charges could be higher or lower than the estimated cost, depending on the actual weight of the shipment.

-- Inform the mover of any possible unusual situations, such as access or parking problems, on either end so your estimate can be more accurate. If the mover does not know about possible problems in advance, additional charges will likely apply.

-- Verify that the mover is licensed and regulated. You can inquire from state agencies that regulate transportation services, or look in the phone book under a Public Utility Commission (PUC) or Department of Transportation (DOT).

-- Spend some time talking with each moving company. If they take the time to understand your moving needs, it’s a good sign that they will provide excellent service. If the company representatives aren’t friendly and helpful, call someone else.

Things to avoid in choosing a mover

-- Do not accept estimates over the phone. Moving is a complicated business with many variables, and it’s impossible to give an accurate quote without seeing the property and the items to move.

-- Do not take everything with you to get rid of at the other end. This will add costs to your move that are avoidable. It’s recommended to dispose of unwanted items before you move so you don’t have to find room for them later.

-- If you are looking for movers on the Internet, make sure you do not use a broker. Once a broker has your business, he sells the job to the highest bidder and is no longer responsible to you. With a broker, you’ll never know who is going to show up on moving day and they will usually charge you more than the broker led you to expect.

-- Don’t let a moving company bait you with low hourly rates. You’re paying for your belongings to be shipped professionally, not for the cheapest option. Remember—you get what you pay for.

Questions to ask potential movers

Be sure you get the answers to these questions before you choose your mover.

• Are there extra charges if the movers have to go up an extra flight of stairs even if I did not know about it when booking?

• What is the estimated delivery time and how will the driver notify me?

• If I pack myself what type of packing material is acceptable?

• How and when do I pay? Cash, credit card, check personal or certified?

• Will the movers disassemble everything and will they reassemble all items at the destination?

• Following the initial weigh in, will there be an additional weigh in to determine actual cost?

• If I have purchased liability insurance and I need to make a claim, what is the process?

• How long has your company been in business? How much experience do your packers and drivers have? Do you offer storage and, if necessary, are you licensed for interstate transport?

Be assertive when asking questions. You have the right to be confident about your choice in movers.

Important documents for your move

Be sure these documents are provided by the mover before your move.

-- A certificate of insurance showing all required insurance liabilities.

-- A written estimate.

-- Proof of workers compensation coverage, which will protect you from liability in the event someone is hurt.

-- A bill of lading—the legal contract between you and the mover that defines the services the carrier agrees to provide.

-- An inventory of your items. The driver will present the inventory to you for your signature after the van is loaded and again when the shipment reaches your new home.

Moving can be a stressful time, but remember, many millions of people have moved before you. Take advantage of the wisdom gained by following these steps to have the smoothest move possible.

Choosing A High Interest Savings Account

It's always prudent to save for a rainy day, and many people with spare cash available prefer the security of placing it in a savings account to the more risky but potentially more profitable choice of other investments such as the stockmarket. Choosing a savings account would at first glance seem to be as simple as going for the one with the highest interest rate, but there are several other factors to take into account too.

The first choice to make is between opening an account with a high street bank, or going direct. High street banks give you the advantage of being able to manage your account with face to face contact with real people, and the ability to deposit cash and cheques easily. However, they have not historically offered the most competitive rates of interest, although this is changing slowly.

Direct savings accounts are operated solely online, by telephone, and by post with no possibility of visiting a bank branch to conduct business. This means they are cheaper to run for the banks, with less admin and staff costs, and so in turn they are willing to offer more attractive interest rates. Indeed, when internet direct savings accounts first appeared, some of them offered ten times the interest of a typical branch-based account, although the gap has narrowed considerably over the years.

The next choice to make is which type of savings account to go for. Amongst all the other options and features available, there are two basic kinds of account: regular savings, and deposit savings. With a regular saver account, you commit to depositing a fixed amount every month for a certain period, often a year. Most accounts will let you pay in more than this if you are able to, but if you fall below the minimum amount in a month you will likely forfeit interest payments for that month. With a deposit account there are no such restrictions - you can put in as much or as little as you want, whenever you want. On the whole, a regular saver account will offer better interest rates at the price of less flexibility.

Another factor that will affect the rate of interest you can earn is the level of access to your money you need. Basically, you can either choose a fully flexible acount which lets you deposit and withdraw funds whenever you want with no charges or penalty, or a more restricted access account which might require 30, 60, or 90 days notice before withdrawals can be made without incurring an interest penalty. Some accounts go further, locking your money in for a period of years, but these accounts are more like bonds than savings accounts, and are outside the scope of this article.

In general, you pay a price for flexibility, and so accounts with more access restrictions will pay a better rate, and so are perhaps more suited to long term investments than simply serving as a way of earning interest on spare cash that might still be needed at some point.

The other main aspect to consider is how the interest is paid. Most accounts will pay your interest in one instalment, once each year. Some, however, will credit your interest on a monthly basis, opening up the possibility of earning compound interest (i.e. where you earn interest on your previously earned interest). Nothing in the financial world is free though, so once again the flexibility of more frequent interest payments will be paid for with a lower rate.

As we have seen, there is more to choosing a savings account than simply comparing basic interest rates. Of course, you want to earn as much interest as possible, but locking yourself into an unsuitable account might not be the best use of your money.

Chinese Games: Games with Chinese Origins

The Chinese culture has a significant influence on the American gambling industry. Many of todays popular casino games were introduced to American casinos by Chinese immigrants. In this review, you can read about some of the most popular Chinese gambling games that had a successful immigration to the West.

Pai Gow Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a hybrid of American poker and traditional Chinese tiles game called Pai Gow. The original tile game Pai Gow, which means Make 9, is one of the most ancient gambling games that are still available in cotemporary casinos. Pai Gow Poker is played with playing cards instead of tiles and it uses the traditional poker hand ranking. It is one of the most popular casino games worldwide and it can be found in almost every major casino in the US. Its online version can be played at most casinos on the internet.

The object of the Pai Gow Poker is to form the highest possible two poker hands, one five card hand and a two card hand, out of the seven cards dealt to each player. Each player competes against the banker that can be either the casino dealer or one of the players who can afford paying the players winnings.

Sic Bo

Sic Bo is yet another popular casino game with roots that go back to ancient China. The chance game came to the States around the beginning of the 20th century by Chinese immigrants. It can be played in most land based casinos in Macau, the US and the UK. Sic Bo has an online version as well.

The meaning of Sic Bo is Dice Pair. It is played with three standard dice on a special table. Each player places any number of bets on the table and then tosses the dice. The outcome is determined by the combinations of the three dice. Each combination has a different payoff according to a payoff schedule, which vary from one casino to the other.

Fan Tan

Fan Tan used to be the most popular gambling game among Chinese gamblers but the glory days of Fan Tan have already passed. During the 1890s, Chinese immigrants brought the game to the United States. At that time, every Chinatown in American City had several Fan Tan houses that were always full of enthusiastic gamblers. Nowadays, you can find Fan Tan in some casinos in Macau as well as in some online gaming sites.

Traditional Fan Tan, not to be confused with the card game of the same name, used to be played with any objects such as coins, dried beans or small buttons on a table with a square marked on it. Fan Tan. The object of the game is pretty simple and odds are 1: 4.

The play begins with the banker puts on the table a pile of objects then covers them with a bowl. Each player has to bet on one of the numbers that mark the four sides of the square, or on one of the corners of the square. After the bowl is removed, the croupier removes four of the objects each time until the last group remains. If 1 object is left, then the player who placed a bet on 1 wins the pot, and so on.

Mahjong

Mahjong is probably the biggest inherit of Chinese culture to the gaming world. The ancient Chinese tile game has many variants worldwide including variety of online games. According to the myth, Mahjong was developed by Confucius around the 500 BC. The game was brought to the United States during the 1920s and soon was very popular especially among women. The game was played in Chinese style decorated rooms with waiters wearing traditional customs.

The American version of Mahjong was developed during the 1930s and it is played in America until today. At the same time, the National Mahjong league was founded. In addition to American Mahjong, there are Japanese, Vietnamese, Cantonese and other variations of the game, which vary from one to the other by their scoring structure, number of tiles and rules variants. In 1998, the China State Sports Commission had set a standard set of rules that will differentiate the illegal gambling game from the skill game.

Mahjong Solitaire, the online version of Mahjong, gains wide popularity recently. The online version of the classic Chinese game is a matching game that uses the Mahjong tiles. Online Mahjong games can be found in many online gaming sites in variety of layouts and versions.

Children's Bank Accounts - Planning Your Family's Future

Everybody wants to give their children the best possible start in life, and make their future as secure as possible. Two ways of helping them, money-wise, are by encouraging them to save with their own bank account, and by making investments on their behalf.

Children’s Accounts

Most high street banks offer children’s accounts, usually a straightforward bank account with a moderate interest rate. These often come with incentives like free piggy banks that are intended to help children develop a sense of responsibility and prudence about money from an early age. You may like to give your child a financial education by opening them their ‘own’ account – though there’s nothing to stop you using a normal adult account with better rates of interest.

National Savings

The Children’s Bonus Bonds are a tax-free savings account specifically aimed at children. You can invest between £25 and £3000 a year for five years and get guaranteed interest, plus a bonus. Many people choose to give Premium Bonds as gifts for children’s birthdays. If they win, it could give them the best present ever!

Child Trust Bonds

The government have introduced a special scheme to give children a savings account from the very beginning. Any child born after 1st September 2002 is entitled to a voucher worth £250 to be invested in a savings account. Visit www.childtrustfund.gov.uk for details.

It’s a good idea to invest for your children’s’ education as early as possible – whether that means private school fees or supporting them when they go into higher education. Long term investments, such as bonds with a ten year term, are a good choice for this purpose.

Children are taxed in the same way as adults, and have their own personal tax allowances. If you give money or assets to your own child and it produces an income of £100 or over, the income is counted as yours and taxed at your top rate. You can avoid this rule by choosing investments with tax free returns or capital gains, rather than income.

If people other than parents give gifts then the income counts as the child’s own, and in this case it’s a good idea to ask grandparents or relatives to send a letter or card with any money gifts. That way you have proof of whom the money came from in case the tax office demands it. For a detailed explanation of children’s tax issues, look up the Inland Revenue’s website at www.hmrc.gov.uk

Child Trust Funds – Take a Long Term View

Andrew Hagger Head of News and Press at Moneyfacts.co.uk looks at the performance of Child Trust Funds, one year on.

April 6 2006 marked the first birthday for the Child Trust Fund (CTF), and there are undoubtedly some mums and dads out there who are feeling pretty smug with the performance of the investment that they have chosen.

One year on from launch, those who have opted for one of the riskier options will have seen their initial £250 deposit grow to over £370 if they had opted for the F & C Global Smaller Companies investment trust. This level of growth dwarfs the returns for cash based investments where parents will have seen their £250 become approximately £262 during the last 12 months.

Although the cash return may seem small beer when compared with the dramatic increases seen in some of the equity based CTFs, the situation could have been worse, i.e. they could have been one of the half a million parents who have failed to use their voucher to open an account, thus depriving their siblings of any return whatsoever.

For those who have failed to open an account, it is worth remembering that Gordon Brown confirmed in his recent budget that the Government would contribute a further £250 (up to £500 in some cases) to your chosen fund on your child’s seventh birthday.

Both Abbey and Nationwide BS report that over 60% of CTFs opened have been cash based; however when parents see the types of return that have been made in some of the non-stakeholder equity based funds, they may be tempted to switch.

However a word of caution before anyone hastily decides to make the move. The funds that offer the potential for greater returns are also those that in more turbulent times are the funds that could lose the most money, so don’t be blinded by just one year’s performance, think of the CTF for what they are – a long term savings and investment account.

There is a middle ground that falls somewhere between the cash and investment trust CTFs, namely stakeholder equity based funds that will offer potential of higher returns than cash CTF, but less risky than the non-stakeholder investment trusts.

If you are in doubt about what is the best option for your child’s savings, time spent now discussing with an independent financial adviser could prove to have been a worthwhile exercise when your son or daughter gains access to their nest egg on their 18th birthday.

Checklist Before Starting a Home Based Business

When you are looking for a home business opportunity, it is important to make sure that you are aware of all that you will be required to bring to the equation. This can help save you a lot of confusion and money by avoiding opportunities that require too much from you to get started. Here is a checklist of thing that you should consider before selecting a home business opportunity.

1. Do you need to get a license to run the business? Many states require that businesses get a license before they are allowed to open. This includes home businesses in many locations. Check with your local government agencies to see what you will need to have in place to start your own home business.

2. Do you need a zoning permit? If you have a home business opportunity that requires doing actual business with the public, you are going to need to make sure that you will not be in violation of any zoning laws. Most cities have very strict residential zoning requirements and it is not hard to violate them. Make sure that the type of business you want to start will be acceptable to run at your current location.

3. How much equipment will you need to buy? You’ll need to know exactly how much money you’re going to have to spend to get your business operational. While some home business opportunities require just a computer, others may need a special printer, extra software, additional gadgets or even heavy equipment. This can add up in a short period of time. Make sure that you are aware of all the expenses that you will incur before you start up.

4. Do you have enough space in your home to devote to your business? Running an informational company is one thing, but if you are going to be stocking products in your home, you’re going to need enough space. For tax purposes, you’re also going to have to have a room that is completely devoted to your home business. This means no kid’s toys, or anything from your normal family life can intrude on this room. If you don’t have this kind of space you may need to add on to your home to accommodate your business.

5. Will you need to purchase any insurance? If you are doing business with the public at your home, you will need to get liability insurance. This will help protect you if anyone falls on your property or injures themselves in anyway. If you will be storing products, you will need to have them insured in case there is a flood or they get damaged in any way.

Lastly, you may want to consider business protection insurance that will help you in the event of any copyright infringement claims or other common complaints. Don’t forget your own health insurance, or any insurance that you may need to provide for employees. This can add up quickly and increase your overall start up costs.

Checking Accounts For Couples

It was not very long ago that when a couple were married their finances became merged and everything was as one. Today, many people are opting to keep things separated for a variety of valid reasons. Because of the way society has unfolded, our finances have become extremely complicated with a large amount of debts, child support, and loans that they may have gotten prior to marriage. It really depends on the situation of the couple as to rather a separate checking account will work or not.

The first thing that needs to be done is that both of you will need to sit at the table and discuss all options that are available to you, be honest and open about your financial wellbeing and make an informed and mutual decision. Traditionally, couples open a checking account of the joint type, this is best way of merging finances together on both sides. However, it is important that both parties be responsible for the comings and goings into that joint account. This will require consistent communication, saving receipts, and updating the register constantly, this will provide the other person with knowledge of what has been happening. This may not be the best option for those who have troubles with keeping receipts or keeping track of checks written.

Another option that may be available to couples is having two separate accounts and one joint. There are a variety of excellent aspects of this scenario, you make an agreement about the amount that each person should place into the joint account each week, bi-weekly, or monthly and this should go towards household expenses. This allows each side to keep their own account, have their own financial freedom, and yet still be contributing to the rest of the household needs. You will both need to sit down and discuss how much should be placed into the joint account, to do this first begin by creating a budget that specifically outlines all of the household expenses on a monthly basis. If each of you earn pretty close to the same amount of money each month, you both should put half in each month.

This should include a savings account for saving for any type of goals you have such as children education, vacations, or other types of financial goals. With the separate account, these should be used to pay off all pre-existing debts you may have from prior to the marriage.

Check That Pre-Approved Credit Card Offer

If you have received a pre-approved credit card offer in the mail make sure you read everything. There are good and bad offers and you need to know which credit card offer is for you.

Look for:

* The Annual Percentage Rate (APR). If the interest rate is variable, how is it determined and when can it change?
* The periodic rate. This is the interest rate used to figure the finance charge on your balance each billing period.
* The annual fee. While some cards have no annual fee, others expect you to pay an amount each year for being a cardholder.
* The grace period. This is the number of days you have to pay your bill before finance charges start. Without this period, you may have to pay interest from the date you use your card or when the purchase is posted to your account.
* The finance charges. Most lenders calculate finance charges using an average daily account balance, which is the average of what you owed each day in the billing cycle. Look for offers that use an adjusted balance, which subtracts your monthly payment from your beginning balance. This method usually has the lowest finance charges. Stay away from offers that use the previous balance in calculating what you owe; this method has the highest finance charge. Also don't forget to check if there is a minimum finance charge.
* Other fees. Ask about special fees when you get a cash advance, make a late payment, or go over your credit limit. Some companies charge a monthly fee regardless of whether you use your card.

The Fair Credit and Charge Card Disclosure Act require credit and charge card issuers to include this information on credit applications. The Federal Reserve Board provides a free brochure on choosing a credit card and a guide to credit protection laws at their web site.

Comparing Cards

* Bank Rate web site provides free credit card tips and information.
* Consumer Action web site has a site that features credit card surveys of interest rates, fees and other terms from dozens of credit cards, as well as free brochures and guides on choosing and using credit cards.
* Card Web lists credit cards and offers e-mail newsletters, frequently asked questions and online credit card calculators.
* Card Ratings lists and reviews credit cards, and offers tips and credit card calculators.

Lost and Stolen Credit Cards

Immediately call the card issuer when you suspect a credit or charge card has been lost or stolen. Many companies have toll-free numbers and 24-hour service to deal with such emergencies.

By federal law, once you report the loss or theft of a card, you have no further responsibility for unauthorized charges. In any event, your maximum liability under federal law is $50 per card.

Complaints

To complain about a problem with your credit card company, call the company first and try to resolve the problem. If you fail to resolve the issue, ask for the name, address and phone number of its regulatory agency.

If the word national appears in the name or the letters N.A. appear after the name, the Office of the Comptroller oversees its operations.

To complain about a credit bureau, department store or other FDIC-insured financial institution, write to the Consumer Response Center.

Cheap Van Insurance Undermined by Theft Figures

The reality of cheap van insurance being more readily available took a blow when recent research revealed that 17% of small van operating businesses had put in claims for vehicle theft, with over half of these claims being made within the latest 24 months.

The research further revealed that 42% of insurance claimants reported the theft of the insured van, with a similar proportion reporting that the contents of their van had been stolen.
If verifiable the figures indicate a possible cost to the economy of £1 billion.

The problem of van and transit van theft also appears to vary from region to region, which accounts for the differing costs in van insurance premiums dependent on the area in which it is purchased.

The report stated that 31% of commercial businesses in the West Midlands region had put in insurance claims, whereas in the London area the figure was down to only 25%.

The survey also indicated that the construction industry was the hardest hit, with 27% of the insured van policy holders making claims.

The report also indicates that 16% of small commercial business van drivers left tools and equipment in vans overnight, and 21% apparently did not ensure the contents of their vans at all.

With statistics showing continued growth in the van market sector – 322,000 vans are now effectively operating on Britain’s roads – recommendations for greater care and safety are being urged.

Perhaps one possible solution may result from developments in new technology. Recently the Ford Motor Company in the USA, teaming up with the industrial power manufacturer DeWalt, showed off its high security Radio Frequency Identification Technology (RFID) at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show.

The technology, which is operated by a small chip and an antenna embedded into the vehicles, is able to track any construction tools and materials carried in the van, so that they can be monitored at all times.

Ford has also been using RFID in its manufacturing plans and is working on patenting the technology.

Although primarily designed as an inventory device to keep track of tools and materials, the system obviously has a use a deterrent against van and van contents theft.

The company intend to introduce RFID during the 2009 model years as optional for F-series pick ups and E-series vans, and also for the new line of Transit Connect miniature cargo delivery vans.
In the meantime, it is evident that if theft continues on this scale, there is a real likelihood that premiums may rise considerably.

Commercial and business van drivers are therefore well advised to seek the advice and experience of established and reputable insurers when considering or taking out new van and transit van insurance policies.

Cheap Van Insurance

Just like any other insurance coverage – life insurance, property insurance, fire insurance – van insurance also follows the cardinal rule of taking insurance coverage that suits your needs and budget.

To insure that the van insurance coverage that you bought will serve its purpose and your purpose in getting one in the very first place, never haste in determining what your specific needs are and how much are you willing to pay for it. Otherwise, you might end up owning the most comprehensive and most expensive coverage for your van that is not even worth half of what you paid the insurer.

The first step in buying insurance for your van is to know in specific terms why you need to get van insurance. Of course, that the law requires it is out of the question. Ask yourself, what do I value the most that I need to be insured for? What kind of risk do I fear the most that I need to be insured against?

If you value your life and your passenger’s life, then you need to be insured against the risk of physical injuries and death. If you value dignity and honor, and other people’s life, then you need to be insured against the risk of third party liabilities. If you value the van itself, then you need to be insured against the risk of its loss.

If the van is regularly used in the business that puts food on your family table, then you should be insured against the risk of business losses caused by whatever damage to the van. If you value the personal belongings that you or your family usually leaves inside the van, then you should be insured against the risk of losing these personal properties as well.

After you have had determined your needs, it is now time to examine your budget. If you can afford it, it is best and therefore advisable to take the comprehensive insurance coverage. But if you are short on your finances, then dispense with whatever coverage you feel you could leave out but still could drive around with full confidence.

A trusted broker can help you thresh out the really necessary inclusions and services from those that serve nothing but to increase premium.

Bottom line: A well thought van insurance will actually prove heaven-sent while one bought in haste would seem to have burned your money in hell.

Cheap Equity Loans

Since the slump in house prices during the early-to-mid 1990s, millions of UK homeowners have seen the value of their property rise by considerable amounts. This has made many a UK homeowner equity rich and, on paper, very wealthy. But, with all the equity tied up in their home the reality of the situation is often very different as homeowners struggle to find the money to make ends meet or to pay off other loans. If this is you then don't despair…equity loans are the answer to just this problem!

Releasing equity

Equity loans are loans secured on the value of your home minus loans already secured on your home, the most significant of these pre-existing loans secured on your home being mortgage loans. The difference between the value of your property and loans secured on your home is known as equity. Equity loans are loans secured only on the free equity value of your home. A wide selection of equity loans are available from loans companies, and the low loans rates associated with equity borrowing makes loans based on equity one of the cheapest ways to borrow money in the UK.

Loans based on equity release are very flexible in repayment duration. For instance, loans drawn from equity with a repayment duration to match the length of your remaining mortgage loans are just as readily available from equity lenders as short loans of 36 to 48 months in duration. Do take into account though that short duration loans require higher monthly repayments to equity lenders.

Equity heaven

Releasing equity tied up in your home through equity loans improves personal cash flow and really takes the pressure off servicing other loans that you've acquired. But, equity borrowing offers so much more than just paying outstanding bills and loans. With loans based on equity in your home you can move forward with your life. Maybe you'd like to use the equity-released money to buy a new conservatory? Perhaps you'd like a second honeymoon or to take regular exotic holidays using the equity? If you're looking to profit from the equity released then you can always re-invest the equity as loans to buy property to let or renovate. When you think about it, there really is no limit to what loans secured on equity in your home can do for you.

One word of caution though. Before taking out loans secured on equity in your home, do consider how you will meet the monthly repayments. You don't want to get yourself into a position where you have to sell your home to service your loans secured on equity.

Cheap Credit Card Information for New Users

A credit card assures a seller that the person using it has a satisfactory credit rating and that the issuer will see to it that the seller receives payment for the merchandise delivered. A credit card is usually a card made of plastic issued to a user by a credit card system.

A credit card is different from a debit card in which the issuer lends the consumer money rather than having the money removed from an account.

A credit card system is a system of retail transaction settlement and credit system, established by a credit card provider.

There are numerous credit card providers all over the globe.

In credit card system a user is issued a credit card after an account has been approved by the credit provider, with which they will be able to make purchases from merchants accepting that credit card up to a pre-established credit limit.

The credit card user agrees to pay the card issuer for every single purchase by using a credit card. To accept credit card, a credit card user has to give his/her consent to pay specific amount of money. Originally the consent used to be by signing a receipt with a record of the card details and indicating the amount to be paid, but now many providers demand verbal authorizations via telephone and electronic authorization using the internet.

A cheap credit card is the most frequently searched keyword on internet today. The credit card users all over the globe are always tracking the cheap credit card companies. A cheap credit card company provides card credit service in considerably cheap quotes.

Chase Online Banking

Chase online banking is a small business’s most useful financial resource. Most small businesses start with a great idea. The person behind the idea feels confident that the idea is sound and that there’s a demand. He or she then sets out to turn the idea into the latest must-have craze. What many small business owners don’t know a lot about is how to handle the company’s finances. That’s where Chase online banking can help.

Small business owners who enroll in Chase online banking have access to a number of useful features to help them better manage their businesses. The biggest benefit is the ability to log in to any account that is linked to the business (even personal and investment accounts!) at any time, day or night, seven days a week. While certainly useful, managing account balances is just one of many things small business owners can do while online.

They can also view transactions as far back as 90 days or check to see which checks have cleared and which have not. They can pay bills online which is faster and less expensive than manual methods. Knowing that online checks and deposit slips can be printed anytime they’re needed removes one of the fears that people have about Chase online banking.

Small business owners can request to be notified via email, voice mail and even by text message anytime a change takes place in any of the accounts being monitored. They can order checks, wire money, and transfer funds and so much more.

Chase online banking also enables small business owners to download monthly statements straight into the popular small business accounting software packages, which makes the daunting tasks associated with accounting much easier to handle. They can use Chase online banking to set up direct deposit for themselves and their employees and that’s a nice benefit to offer when trying to attract valuable employees. There’s even more and it’s all explained on the online banking demo so take a look today!

Charity car donation – steps to take

You can donate your car to a wide range of charity organizations, but picking the most representative ones requires getting some previous information. So before actually donating your car, make sure you get some relevant info about the charity organization, its purposes, projects and usage of your car. You might find out that there are various organizations that have different goals and you will probably find, among them, a great cause and possibility to donate your car to something meaningful. Even more, make sure that your car is going to go to an eligible organization that is serious in its acts and has valid previous work. In order to be sure, speaking directly with the charity agents is the safest way to go. In fact, the IRS requests that the donors are aware of the type of the fundraiser society they choose. When talking to the charity representatives, the most important information regards the exact usage of your car, if it will be sold, fixed up, offered to the less fortunate people and so on. Besides these, you should check up if the charity organization is qualified and in order to know that for sure, you can review the organization’s state registrations and financial situations, administrative costs and charitable programs.

Charitable donations and car evaluations

Another important thing before donating your car is evaluating it in a correct way. There are various guides on the market that offer elaborate instructions, in order to establish the valid value of your car, depending on its general condition, accessories, age and mileage. After making sure that you selected the correct charitable organization and the optimum evaluation, you should be aware of the fact that you are required to complete and attach an IRS form to your tax return, in case you are claiming a car donation that values 500 $ or above. Donating a used car to charity is a great solution if you are planning to purchase a new car or if you are simply willing to contribute to a charitable activity. Knowing and following some steps before the actual car donation avoids further worries, as it makes the process a safe and fulfilling one.

Are there any hidden facts about used car donation that I should be aware of?

First of all, not every used car donation programs are functioning legally. Before you make your used car donation, you should check with the IRS if the charity is a non-profit organization listed under paragraph 501 (c) (3) in the IRS Publication 78.
Secondly, check out if the used car donation program is run in-house by the charity itself or by a third party. If a third party is operating the used car donation program, you should ask what percent of the profit made by selling the donated cars actually goes to the charity. Often, third-party operated used car donation programs produce small amounts of money for the charity. Smaller charities do not afford the costs of transportation and storage for the donated cars, not to mention the costs involved in charity auctions. This is the main reason why charities accept to have their used car donation programs run buy third-party brokers.

Change Your Thinking And Get Richer

Imagine two situations; 1) finding £1000, that is yours to keep with no strings attached and 2) earning £1000 through hard-work.

I'm curious - is there any difference between the value of them? Do you consider one to be worth more than the other? Is there any difference in how you would spend them?

Are they different to you in some way? You can do exactly the same thing with them. I wonder if you really would. Well if you do attach a different value to them you could be missing out; read on to learn how to get more for free!

My point in all this questioning is that if we only value the 'things' that we have to work hard for there is a danger that the 'things' that we can have with ease just pass us by - they are unvalued and do not grab our attention. These 'things' are not just money of course but skills, knowledge, relationships to name a few; they are all valuable assets.

The secret of success is to consider this all in two parts:

1) the value of it - that is how well it meets your needs, not just monetary value. This applies whether it was easy to come by or not.

2) the recognition of the achievement in attaining it. Some things can be harder to acquire than others and we should reward ourselves through recognition when we acquire such things.

You see, it is worth the same whether you had to acquire new skills or resources to get it or rely on the existing (carefully honed) ones that you take for granted.

How about if, from now on, you recognise what you have for what it is worth and separately for what it took to achieve it. Seeing it as two parts will open your awareness to the things that you can have that are already available to you without effort.
When you see yourself making these changes and getting different results be sure to thank yourself. Your mind wants to please you and likes gratitude. In return it will do it all the more for you.

Enjoy getting richer!

Cedar Fair to Buy Paramount Parks

Copyright 2006 Geoff Gannon

Publicly traded limited partnership Cedar Fair (FUN) will acquire the Paramount Parks business of CBS Corp (CBS) for approximately $1.25 billion. The five parks involved in the deal are located near Cincinnati (OH), Richmond (VA), Charlotte (NC), Santa Clara (CA), and Toronto.

Cedar Fair already operates seven amusement parks and five water parks, including the company’s flagship Cedar Point property on Lake Erie. The company intends to keep all five properties. The deal will be financed by a $2 billion loan from Bear Stearns (BSC). The interest rate charged will be determined once Cedar Fair’s debt has been rated.

The acquisition is quite large relative to the size of Cedar Fair’s existing business. Cedar Fair generated $569 million in revenues during 2005. During the same time period, the Paramount Parks properties generated $423 million in revenues.

In addition to the five parks, Cedar Fair will receive Star Trek: The Experience (at the Las Vegas Hilton) and the Nickelodeon license at the five Paramount Parks.

The Paramount Parks properties encompass about 1,250 owned acres and 180 leased acres. Based on past attendance, the five acquired properties will likely be some of the most visited parks in the new Cedar Fair portfolio. However, none of the new properties is likely to eclipse Cedar Fair’s two most visited properties: Cedar Point and Knott’s Berry Farm.

By far the two largest parks being acquired are Canada’s Wonderland (located near Toronto) and Kings Island (located near Cincinnati).

Cedar Fair’s chairman Dick Kinzel said:

"This acquisition will provide exciting new growth opportunities and the potential for meaningful incremental free cash flow as we realize $20-$30 million in annual cash flow synergies over the next 3-5 years. It will also add significant geographic diversity to our portfolio of parks and improve our position as one of the largest regional amusement park operators in the world."

The acquisition will require significant debt financing. However, the amusement park business generally has a very high free cash flow margin. Cedar Fair’s existing properties are excellent generators of free cash flow. The company makes large cash distributions to unitholders; the current yield is somewhere around 6.85% (reminder: Cedar Fair is a Limited Partnership). Returns on both assets and equity have generally been quite high.

The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2006. Most analysts believe CBS will use the roughly $1 billion in after-tax proceeds to buy back shares.

Over the last ten years, Cedar Fair has compounded its book value per share at an annual rate of 8.11% and earnings per share at an annual rate of 6.30%.

Most Guarded Secrets

The secrets of the casinos are not the kind of secrets that you may think. They are not secrets like the third slot machine in every row pays out on the hour, they are more like things they do to distract you from the obvious.

One of the biggest secret the casinos do not want you to know is that if you use your head and not act irrationally you can go home with some money in your pockets, unfortunately most people enter a casino and all logic flies right out of their heads. They start seeing the bells and whistles of the casinos, and people with stacks of chips and all they can think of is what they are going to do with all the money they are going to win from the casino.

Using your head is the key to winning money in the casino. The first think you need to remember is that the odds of you winning the big jackpot are so outrageously against you, that it is not worth losing your hard earned money on. So by being smart and not trying to get rich on one spin of the roulette wheel, one toss of the dice at the Craps table or one go on the slot machine you can consistently win smaller amounts that at the end of the day can a large sum of money.

Next time you are in the casino try going to the 10 dollar Roulette table and only play red or black. Each win you will double your bet, and at 10 dollars a spin you can make 100 dollars in less then 30 minutes. I usually walk up to a table and wait for the wheel to land on the same color 3 times in a row then bet on the other color. Then after I have made some money I will start to play some other bets, but I only stay on the outside of the board. The odds are much better at 3 to 1 or 4 to 1 instead of 40 to 1. Using this method I have managed to turn $20 into $900 in just over 3 hrs. It may not sound like a fortune, but as I said before walking in poor and walking out a millionaire is not realistic.

Next time you are at a casino look for a clock or window. Ok do not waste your time, there are none. Another secret of the casinos is that they want you to have no concept of time. When you are gambling time seems to go faster, and if there were clocks or a window in the casino you would have some idea of how long you have been gambling and would then start to think about leaving the casino instead if losing all track of time and spending all day and night in the casino. They do this because at some point you will start to get tired but be kept awake from the adrenalin from gambling, and at this point you can't think straight, and you will start to spend money faster. Always remember the casinos are not there to make you dreams come true they are there to take you for all your money. Any time you leave the casino with some of the casinos money it was accidental.

Some of the tricks the casinos use to keep you gambling are:
No Windows
No Clocks
Ugly colors in the rugs and walls around the exits, and nice colors around the gamming areas will subliminally make you not want to go to those areas. The worse the odds of you winning the nicer the colors of that area will be.

By keeping this information in mind you will not be going home from the casinos and quitting your job but you will have more money in your pocket and you will have had a good time making that money.

Asian stud, Baccarat , Blackjack, Casino war, Caribbean Stud Poker, Chinese poker, Faro, Four card poker, Let It Ride, Mambo stud, Pai gow poker, Red Dog, Spanish 21, Texas Hold'em Bonus Poker, Three card poker, Two-up.

Craps, Pai Gow, Sic bo, Chuck-a-luck
